Hey guys!

I'm new right here and I would like to say hi to all of you!

Now I have a old laptop, single core AMD with some low end nvidia graphics card. I'm managing to convince my father to help me pay for a desktop.

Price range is from 0-850 US$. I will not be streaming or editing or rendering many videos, maybe just a few but I would like a pretty solid pc that could allow me to run CAD just in case...

I thought of an Intel I5 4590 as a processor since I don't think I would overclock the cpu, however your opinion on this is welcome!

How about red team? 8320? 8350? I like mainly open world games, like Assassin's creed and I plan on playing older games, like GTA 4 or Simcity 2013, but wouldn't mind also playing the latest games at good frame rates at good graphics.

Please could someone help me on the build? Thank you so much, btw I do not have a microcenter close by, I live in Florida.

You could more then likely order it online or pricematch at bestbuy. Do you want Intel or AMD? Intel will be a bit better. Since you won't overclock the CPU that makes a bit easier. Whats CAD by the way?

CAD is the Canadian Currency. Kinda like how USD is the USA currency.

CAD is a design software, it's actual name is autocad, used to do 2D blueprints and 3D piezes(but it's not actually the best in it)

#DarkBlade2117 I mean AutoCad and similar programs, since I'm interested in Architecture and interior design kind of things. I would like intel, since I've only had AMD and has given me some serious problems. OC the CPU brings benefits in what tasks? Do you think an unlocked processor would be better? I could apply an OC when I need it?

Good build, are all parts from Amazon? They apply a pretty high tax like 50-60 US$ and the Z87 board, will be able to take the OC of the cpu? I don't know, I've only looked at H97 and Z97 boards.

All from Amazon and Newegg I think. They may be a bit off, I just listed them off the top of my head.

That's actually really cheap for this kind of card, I mean I actually don't know if I'm going to be using Autocad, but would a gpu like a 970 or 960 still be able to render the textures? I mean I can with my 256mb of dedicated Vram ;) but it's really slow, light "play like" programs of building houses and stuff.

970 would be your best bet there then.

Oh ok awesome! Just my father is concerned about the price, since back in the day his mobo was probably more expensive than the cpu itself, like 120 Euros... So he says rather have a good mobo that will not crash, burn or whatever.

The mobo is great. It does not matter. WIth 200+ mobos you get "wifi and stuff" if you need wifi add one card. cheap. and the 960 should work but I would really go with the 970. Its just worth every penny. I personally went with for 170$ if you can find them two 660s in sli for around 10% less than 970 specs. but its gaming. go with the one crad (970) autocad does not support sli i don't think. it may for Quadros.

I understand, I used to see this H97 from asus for 100$ so I thought that would have been a good buy, and I think you are right about the 970, how about the CPU? overclock or not overclock? I would like this pc to run for long until it basically becomes obsolete like my 7 year old laptop.

Yes it is a 960 but if overclocked, IT already has a high core clock. It could be just like a 970. White and Black build with a hint of blue :)
