Sli 970's is overkill for 1080p gaming unless you are going for 144HZ.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

Less money, better CPU cooler same performance.

If you a single card for 1080p though you could always go with a single 980 and add another one later down the road but i know that 980s in greece are even more expensive( near 700) so the 970 is an excellent choise. Dual 290s is also a viable option.

Nice Build! I don't know though. I kind of need the i7 considering i'm using too much of my Illustrator and After Effects. I picked the mpower series z97 board from msi originally because of the overclocking capabilities. In any case thanks I got some good advice out of your build. I kinda want to know if the i7 is needed... It could be an overkill.

Then keep the i7. Though i would go with a cheaper z97 motherboard as the mobo doesn't affect overclocks anymore. A 100 euro z97 board will do the same job as a 300 euro z97 mobo.

Also quoting helps other people to know that you replied on their post.

If you want a great overclocking board then the Gigabyte SOC boards are very good.
