So I have been trying to figure a solution for my dad and his phone on t-mobile

his requirements are:

physical keyboard

not blackberry

smartphone (OS is less of a concern)

I think he will be fine on any os (windows, ios, android) as his needs are basically general web browsing and podcasts.

my research shows nothing in that area unless I go WAAAAY back (like froyo)

so I am thinking a wallet flip case with bluetooth keyboard. suggestions? (phone model is flexible)

tl;dr

phone case with physical keyboard, phone model doesn't matter as his needs are super basic, but not dumb phone

samsung sidekick

I actually recommended that phone to a friend back in the day cause I was a hardcore android fanboy that was too blind to see that iOS was better at the time. That phone is complete garbage lol I feel bad for making my friend suffer through it because of how laggy the skin is.

There are keyboard cases for iPhones that make your phone look like a giant blackberry.

So why not Blackberry? I believe there is a keyboard that can be purchased for the iPhone 5s that works pretty well. I've tried it out briefly and seems to work similar to a blackberry one. Problem is they basically copied the blackberry one so they got banned from being sold last year. It's called the Typo.

If you want to go really crazy you could buy a normal Iphone and their is a company called fluid (I think it's called fluid) the case they have is a physical keyboard there is fluid in the back of the phone and when you flick a switch the fluid makes little nubs on the screen that turns into a physical keyboard. its kinda crazy
