Case Ideas

Go to solution Solved by wyattzx,

its crap dont get it the pahntom 530 sucks

I like the look of the Phantom line, but I don't want to get ridiculous with the price, I was originally going to have a H440, but I don't like how it's "square" there aren't any lines on it, like the Phantom line, I just like the Sleekness of the Phantoms, and I didn't want to go with the 630 because of that ugly grill on the side.

As an owner of the Phantom 530, (with custom vinyls on the front panel and side panel. c:) I can say that it, while a little bit on the "Alienware" side, is an amazing case. I would have preferred a normal-looking top, but it does have a hell of a lot of room for rads. It uses an actual tool-less HDD bay solution, versus some that have you screw on washers and such. For SSDs, you do have to screw them in, but it's not hard at all, and the sled itself is still tool-less. The stock fans move more than enough air for me, and holy.. This is the quietest case I've ever heard. I do have my Hyper 212+ fans on silent mode, but they're stock Hyper 212+ fans, and they're running at 1000RPM~. I have two GPUs in this case right now, a GTX 970 and a Radeon 6870. I would feel comfortable fitting a third card in this case, were my motherboard able to support it. The door is nice, hides the reset button, and has a strong magnet. It does NOT flop open annoyingly. I've carried my case around for transit and cleaning, and have never had problems with it. The fan controller is a huge plus, and I have used it to turn the fans on low to remove that little bit of noise during audio work. (At this point, my PC is entirely inaudible.)

You very well may receive criticisms for the aesthetic of the case, be it that it's too curvy or flashy, but I like it. And it's the best case I've ever had the opportunity of working with.

So, the build, that I'm going to build, has a NXZT Phantom 530.

Your challenge, if you choose to accept it is to,

-Find a case that's white, sleek and modern.

-Has a side window.

-Is easy to build in.

The catch is you have to find one on:

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=25_547

Yes it must be a ATX case, you can see the build I'm getting here.

Have fun.

You know how many cases PCCaseGear has, it's not exactly a challenge... there's the Fractal Defines in white, the H440, any of the Phantoms, Corsair 760 or 780T, Corsair Air 540, it's not exactly hard. Personally I'd go with the H440, but that's just my opinion...

Btw, remember to follow your topics.

I just love the sleekness of them for some reason. The Graphite looks nice, but It doesn't suit "me" I guess. Linus did say it was more than "Okay"

well i have a black one and dislike it, just scratches easy, prone to finger printing, even if you don't have a greasy hand....Maybe looks at the Enthoo by Phanteks, it looks modern and sleek, and its white too, and its a nice big case. Or a white carbide air 540 i have one and its easy to build in unless your extremely long cables.

That's because it's black I presume? I want a white one, I might just stick with the phantom to be honest.

The Enthoo isn't bad, neither is the Carbide, the Carbide has a off setting grill on the front for me.

I love it, I didn't know it'd be quite, but that a MASSIVE plus, I'm looking to install a Silverstone TD02-E in the top, so I'm glad there is heaps of space, I love the looks of it, I don't know why people hate it. Thank you, this has made my choice quite clear, I'm going with the 530.

Thanks all for your say, I appreciate your input!
