Case Ideas
its crap dont get it the pahntom 530 sucks
I like the look of the Phantom line, but I don't want to get ridiculous with the price, I was originally going to have a H440, but I don't like how it's "square" there aren't any lines on it, like the Phantom line, I just like the Sleekness of the Phantoms, and I didn't want to go with the 630 because of that ugly grill on the side.
As an owner of the Phantom 530, (with custom vinyls on the front panel and side panel. c:) I can say that it, while a little bit on the "Alienware" side, is an amazing case. I would have preferred a normal-looking top, but it does have a hell of a lot of room for rads. It uses an actual tool-less HDD bay solution, versus some that have you screw on washers and such. For SSDs, you do have to screw them in, but it's not hard at all, and the sled itself is still tool-less. The stock fans move more than enough air for me, and holy.. This is the quietest case I've ever heard. I do have my Hyper 212+ fans on silent mode, but they're stock Hyper 212+ fans, and they're running at 1000RPM~. I have two GPUs in this case right now, a GTX 970 and a Radeon 6870. I would feel comfortable fitting a third card in this case, were my motherboard able to support it. The door is nice, hides the reset button, and has a strong magnet. It does NOT flop open annoyingly. I've carried my case around for transit and cleaning, and have never had problems with it. The fan controller is a huge plus, and I have used it to turn the fans on low to remove that little bit of noise during audio work. (At this point, my PC is entirely inaudible.)
You very well may receive criticisms for the aesthetic of the case, be it that it's too curvy or flashy, but I like it. And it's the best case I've ever had the opportunity of working with.
