So I have two old systems sitting here around me

The first is a p4 system that only had 512mb of ram

The second is a celeron 440, with 1gb of ram

Are there any practical uses to these machines aside from selling them or parting them out and selling them that way? (maybe I could make one of these into a htpc or home server?)

If so,

-what use

-what OS

-How well would it do at that use

If you want to get into modding, you can use the FreeNAS server as a printer server.
