Hi, I just got a new 860K and I overclocked it to 4.2GHz. Thing is I need to give it 1.5v to keep it stable at just 4.2.  But, I can drop that voltage down to like 1.400v and it will be stable in priome95 for hours , but when i start a game or program or something it crashes so I had to raise it all the way up to 1.5v. Also is running this chip at 1.5v all the time even safe ? I cant find any max temps or volts for this cpu anywhere. When playing a game it runs at a constant 1.512V but my temps never go over 50C. Any answers welcome ,  and is anyone else finding this CPU a power hog?

so ya , thx to the intel fanboy for telling me what i dont care about , nobody knows anything about this CPU ? Everyone says they run this CPU at 4.5GHz and under 1.5volts . That is totally impossible for me. I cannot push this cpu past 4.2GHz no matter what ,   even 4.3 @ 1.57 still crashes , so im at 4.2 @ 1.5 right now. Can someone please give me some advice on this thing.

I've got near identical issues with a Pentium E6500K, 1.7V for 4.4GHz when everyone else manages around 5-5.1GHz at that voltage. You've just lost the silicon lottery badly.
