Hello all, there have been a couple of times now where my PC has suddenly lost power, which somehow has resulted in drivers and such corrupting, as I do not want further damage to come to my pc from power loss, I'm interested in getting a UPS for it.

Specs for my rig are in my signature, and I'll also want to run one of my monitors off the ups so if we do lose power and I'm home, I can still shut down my computer.

It needs to be able to power my rig + a monitor for at least 30 mins.

Any suggestions? (Try to keep the suggestions under $200USD or so.)

(Also, sorry if this is the wrong section, thought it could sorta be considered a "power supply" as it supplies power for things :P)

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

I'd go for one that can support at least 500W of constant power draw for an hour or more.

that will be one big ups all I can say.

Hmm.. Maybe at least able to support 500w when running off the battery, I just need it to be able to keep the computer and monitor powered long enough for me to finish whatever im doing and shut it down.

1500VA UPS can do 500w for like 10 minutes.

Hmm, so perhaps I should go with a 2000VA or something like that then.

Thanks.

No idea, I just know that 500w for an hour is not realistic.

Looks good, but you probably won't get 30 mins of power @ 500W

If you can save a TON more for dat battery life, get this lol http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0036RFIA6

UPSs don't really last for long, especially with high end hardware.
