Hi there.

I have a little problem. When playing certain games (bf4 and gta 5 for example) my pagefile usage gets very high.

when the game starts, the pagefile usage is ~8GB and then gets higher over time. After approximately 1 hour the pagefile usage is 10GB and after that there is alot of stutter.

While the pagefile usage is going up there are some stutters, but after 10GB there are stutters all the time.

The weird thing is that my ram usage is ~6GB while I have 8GB, so why is the pagefile usage so high?

I think its the pagefile usage which causes the stuttering/lag, so do you guys have a solution for it?

Here is a screenshot of my usage while playing gta 5: https://www.dropbox.com/s/z4aeki6n4owh962/Schermafdruk%202015-05-08%2015.49.06.png?dl=0

Does your hard drive activity LED blink rapidly when this is happening?

I'm not sure, I can check it now. Why do you need to know that?

Then we can see if there's a lot of swapping going on.

tried disabling pagefile temporarily?

note: not a good long-run idea unless you have a ton of RAM

Just played gta 5, driving around in the city, getting alot of police to get as many things on the screen and such.

I had no stuttering then, but the stuttering only appears after 30 minutes of gameplay.

The pagefile usage was 9.1GB and the blue hdd indicator was blinking very heavily.

I have tried disabling it before, but everytime I wanted to start a game it just crashed. I can try it again tho

Do you how to enable onscreen displays in Afterburner?

I got a short guide on getting the MSI AB OSD going, was meant for GTA V during the "can I run this" hype.

I have onscreen display enabled for gta 5.

Which information do you need?

Also is there a solution to this stutter problem which occurs after 30 minutes, and gets heavier after ~1 hour?
