Windows Splash Screen Error

Hello, This is my first post to the Linustechtips forum. Anyway I have a small problem. The problem doesn't affect my performance (as far as I know) but basically what happens is this. When I turn on my pc, I get the usual Motherboard Splash screen, However when I expect my Windows 8.1 loading screen I instead get my motherboard splash screen with the loading icon in the middle. As I said this doesn't affect performance but It does annoy the Heck out of me! Here are my system Specifications and a screenshot of what's happening.

System Specs:

• AMD Athlon X4 860K 3.7GHz Quad-Core Processor
• MSI A88XM-E35 Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard
• Crucial 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
• Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
• Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
• Sapphire AMD R9 280X 3GB DDR5
• Corsair SPEC-01 RED ATX Mid Tower Case
• EVGA 500W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply

Try heading into BIOS and see if there is an option to not show the BIOS splash screen on start up. It may just be a BIOS thing.

I had this looking window when i was installing windows 8 but when it installed it loaded the default boot splash screen so don't know about this.

he said it doesn't effect performance, so going into bios isn't an issue for him

 

There may just be an option to change how things show on startup.

Change the bios settings to fast boot and make sure the hdd or sdd with windows on it is first in the boot priority

I cannot enter the bios during this process, however I can enter it during the first splash screen

Also, does anyone actually know what this is called?

Because I'd like to know what other people have done about this

OK I fixed it by entering the bios and disabled full screen logo display. However this gets rid of the first splash screen for the bios. Everything is fine now many thanks!
