So I was installing my parts in my new Corsair Air 540 yesterday and I seemed to have the problem of the screws couldn't line up with the standoff while the I/O plate was in no matter how hard I tried.

It worked without the I/O plate so I left it out to do it another time.

How could I solve this? I tried ripping off the cushion from the I/O plate but that didn't help :/

Can you provide several detailed pictures?

Specifically of the rear I/O shield from the back (outside) of the case, as well as the inside of the case? Then a picture of the motherboard trying to line up with the IO shield.

Either your case is defective, or you're doing it wrong (no offense/judgement), so let's find out which, so we can figure out how to solve this for you :)

It's not the case because I had similar problems with the previous case :/

Again, please provide the requested pictures, otherwise we can't really help you :) If it's not the case, then it could be the IO shield itself or some other factor.

Well that would be better then nothing, though unless there's something glaringly obvious wrong, that likely won't be enough information. You're using the IO shield that came with your motherboard, yes? You said you encountered this before - was it with the same IO shield and motherboard in a different case?
