I need some help on picking a GPU for a new PC I'm working on building. This is my first PC, so I don't have a bunch of info on what is the best, although I have tried to do as much research on my own as possible. This is the one I have picked out currently, but I'm wondering if there are better options for close to the same price (or if this one is not very good to begin with): http://www.microcenter.com/product/403002/GeForce_GTX_660_Twin_Frozr_III_Overclocked_2048MB_GDDR5_PCIe_30_x16_Video_Card

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why not pick a r9 270, same price most likely faster.

it really depends on how close to that you can get.

For an almost apples to apples, this is a far better card,

If you can splurg a bit more, then this is a little better than that (Pretty much completely ingore this one, the 280X is way faster and only $4 more atm)

And if you can just pay that 40$ more, then this is a far superior card to the other 3

The second one does some pretty nice for the price (and the same manufacturer as the MB I have picked out. I probably should have mentioned it in the first post, but currently I'm going for is an i3 core processor, so would that second one still be compatible?

if you can get the 2nd one, i'd really really advise getting the third instead. its $4 more and like, 10% faster, along with more vram for a longer theoretical life-span.

But, to your question, Yes. Any modern consumer graphics card is compatible with any modern consumer cpu.
