I have a prebuilt PC with its own special motherboard and case, if I transfer all the components in this pre built PC into another case, will it still be compatible or okay?

(I know this is a stupid question but im not a tech biggy.)

CPU: Intel i7 4700 GPU: Gigabyte G1 GTX 970 Storage: 1TB Western Blue RAM: 8 GB GDDR3 Operating Software: Windows 10 Power Supply: XFX XTR 550W Case: Shitty HP Case From Old Pre Built PC

I assume it would be possible, make sure the case you get is a large enough form factor tho.

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.

i7 9700K (5.2Ghz @1.2V); MSI Z390 Gaming Edge AC; Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB 3200 CAS 16; H100i RGB Platinum; Samsung 970 Evo 1TB; Samsung 850 Evo 500GB; WD Black 3 TB; Phanteks 350x; Corsair RM19750w.

Laptop: Dell XPS 15 4K 9750H GTX 1650 16GB Ram 256GB SSD

Spoiler

sex hahaha

If the mobo is standard atx or such, then it will be fine, but if its a completely custom layout or something, then nope it won't fit.

as long as you dont have some stupid all-custom HP mobo, you'll be fine.

depends on what is actually inside the custom pc.

Um... Pegatron Memphis-B is the mobo. I don't know if this is "some stupid all-custom HP mobo"

i suggest making sure your new case has removable standoffs just in case. (most cases do these days)

EDIT: should mention: with stupid HP all custom mobo i mean abominations like this:
