i'd do that out of a laziness thing, because the only way my brain would be able to do that is do 256*16-512.

I'd first calculate 256*10 and then 250*4 and 6*4. But yeah good point

You can multiply that in your head? I use the calculator even for stuff like 14x3 (out of lazyness) but anything above 20 I do it because it would take to long for me to calculate

somehow my brain does binary better. i'd be better at doing 256*4 than 250*4, 6*4 and then adding the results.

Yes just do it like this:

256*10 = 2560

250*4 = 1000

6*4 = 24

2560+1000+24
