core clock throttle when 95% gpu power

hi guys i just notice when gaming in my gtx 970 when always hitting above 95% gpu power it starts to throttle like in games and in OCCT. is this not normal? i have gtx 970 standard btw. TY

Might be a thermal throttle? Have you checked the temps?

its not it just when i stress test in occt it keeps fluctuate then after hitting 106% gpu power it will low the clock to 890mhz. its weird my previous GPU is not like this.

At a guess your card is hitting the 80c nvidia temp limit when it's going at 106% power, and undervolting to lower temps.

Have you tried a more aggressive fan curve to keep temperatures down?

Is your case airflow sufficient? (You can always try running your case fans more aggressively also, in an attempt to help keep temperatures lower).
