Hey guys,
having recently purchased NF-F12 for my rig (Due to Linus' recommendation)! My Bit Fenix spectre pro seems incredibly loud in comparison.
What is the best and quietest 200mm fan?
We need to make a petition to convince Noctua to create one! ;)

Thanks,
I AcK I

Bitfenix is pretty silent.. if you compare those silent freaky things as those noctuas are, to budged silent ones such as bitfenix, the budget ones WILL be louder, but if you take a look at other fans, such as AP121, which are even more silent, there will always be a compromise between noise and price.

If I were you I wouldnt spent 15 bucks on a single fan, when you can get 2 fans for almost the same price, which arent necessary "much" louder.

Edit: you cant compare Noctua and Bitfenix btw.. those NF-F12 cost more then double of a Bitfenix Spectre Pro, which makes it almost uncomparable.. thats like comparing a Macbook pro for 1700USD with some cheap netbook for 300$.... just inappropriate

BitFenix spectre 230mm is not loud, and it will fit to 200mm mounting holes.

(I cant hear it when it is running @10v)

The BitFenix is a 200mm fan and actually cost more than a Noctua in England!

Ahh, I'm using the 200mm one. So the 230mm one would fit in a Corsair 600t?

Yes, it is same size than 200mm one, and you can return it if it wont fit, but it will fit.

You ordered the spectre pro or the normal spectre, because you can only fit the spectre pro if you move the drive cages.

The problem with the 600t is that the front fan has to be 20mm thin or else you need to move the drive cages (shouldn't be that hard but would make cable management a bit harder.

Also, Linus (and the team) did a video on the Noctua booth over at Computex earlier this year.

I've seen the video but not much was mentioned about the 200mm fan!

Well, I will be picking one of them up once they come available! :)

I think it's because of the 5.25" drive bays were obstructing the holes! :/

Having now got it in, I'm very happy with it thanks!

The problem is that now my HDD is incredibly irritating and loud!

Time to save up for an SSD and a HDD silencer! :P
