Should i ship my pc parts or buy them

idk much abt shipping parts.. the reason why i consider shipping is because i live in singapore and a gtx 970 is 600 avg, gtx 960 is 400 avg,titan x is 1800

Bargains would only be 50 cheaper the most, so i would save hundreds on shipping

only issue is that there isnt warranty ,

So i wanna know how risky it is to ship and how much wud i have to pay for the taxes

Well, last time I checked this was a forum about tech, not your customs office.

Just do the math.

Pretty sure taxes will be customs.. so the same as what you would be charged if you bought it from a store?

Just calculate how much it will be shipping+customs/other taxes will save you instead of buying it locally.

 

In case of issues I guess you can ship back to nearest global service center, like for EVGA, GSKill I guess Taiwan is nearest. Shipping costs will be on you in this case.

 

Just keep this in mind, and decide if the saving you are making is worth it or not.

 

As per today's exhange rates GTX 970 costs 500 USD in my country, but importing it from US, customs taxes will probably end up being same if not more. Also there is risk factor when comes to shipping too  :unsure:

If you don't get warranty I would rather be on the safe side and get them locally with warranty and options to return defect parts, because worst case scenario you are stuck with a defect card and cant get your money back. 

 

if things are cheaper in Malaysia a road trip might be worth it and you could simply return the parts if they are defect

Aint trusting malaysia.. their prices are worst imo and ill be more vulnerable to scams there
