I just installed my GTX 970, and when it boots Ubuntu 14.10, I got a really wonky resolution.  Went to the settings, can't find any fix.  Tried a game, worse than my integrated graphics on my 4690k.

Does anyone know how to get NVidia to work on Linux?

Thanks.

I don't always use Vessel.... but when I do, it's because of Scrapyard Wars.

Nivida and Linux two things tags don't go together, I'm sure there is a work around though look for drivers maybe they exist I'm not sure.

When I installed Linux with my GTX 660 all I had to do was update Linux and it found and installed the drivers for me!

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

The OS is like a kind food, Try it before saying if you like it or don't.

It looks look you're using the open source, novaeu (NVIDIA) driver. They are notoriously terrible.

Unless you're going for the Open Source only approach to linux, search for software updates within ubuntu, go to the additional drivers tab and install whichever one is labelled as proprietary.

This will install NVIDIA's driver.

Actually, Nvidia goes together with linux much better than AMD.
