PC Temperature Increase Issue

My temperatures for my CPU and GPU have been very hot on idle.

My GPU used to run around 30 on idle, but now starts off around 40 and climbs up to 60. GPU usage at 3-5%

My CPU used to be 28 and is now 36 and climbs up to 55. CPU usage is at 25%

Any ideas what could be causing this?

All chasis fans working properly? A decrease in speed could also increase the temps but I don't think it would make this much difference.
Not too much dust on heatsinks of either CPU or GPU? Have you made any changes with load line calibration in BIOS?

All my fans are running correctly, I have cleaned out my case a few days ago. The temperature suddenly changed while I was idle.

No, when I turn on my PC, the temps will gradually rise about 20 C each and then stop.

Could there be something running in the background applying more load that you aren't aware of.

What about your max temps at full load. How much have they increased?

I tried looking for something, nothing out of the ordinary. I tried doing a system restore to see if that would fix anything, but it failed for some reason.

They haven't at all, my temps stay the same. It's like my computer is underload for some odd reason

reapply your thermal paste to the cpu......and reset the heatsink..then let the pc idle in the bios and watch the temps

see if they change much

fan bearings dying

fan power delivery system malfunctioning

dried up thermal paste

cpu heat spreader seperating from die

gpu fans not spinning fast enough

gpu thermal paste lifting upwards

gpu locked at 100% load (even though software says otherwise)

cpu boosting to absurd speeds, then throttling back down

gpu boosting to absurd speeds, then throttling back down

overvolting (this would probably kill it or cause other things)

lack of airflow

cpu backplate loose/hold on screws loose

something obstructing the fans (dust, etc.)

 

If you're liquid cooling...

 

pump failure

tubing kinks

radiator fans malfunctioning

radiator tubes jammed

pump not strong enough

low coolant levels

high amounts of gas in tubes

dry thermal paste

indirect contact (crooked cpu block, etc.)

backplate loose/hold on screws loose

pump counteracting (if using multiple pumps, highly unlikely)

heat spreader seperating from die

system leaks (easily noticed if you have a side window)

reservoir seals not tight enough

There was this one time when I was using bitcomet, my ram usage was increased to like 1GB usage by bitcomet(no doubt because of me changing settings I shouldn't).

Not sure if antivirus automatic scans could increase the temps so much at idle.
