Game Livestreaming

I recently started to try and livestream games but in the 2 times I casted for 2 hours I got no viewers. I have a more than adequate setup and I can even stream in hd+ or 720+. But maybe its not the quality of the stream am I doing something wrong how could I get a viewer base?

it depends on who is streaming at the time they may not have noticed you because you are not known if you stream once a week or something like that and people see you in the livestream section they will watch I would also recommend playing popular games on stream and once you get viewers interact with them so they come back next time and maybe tell a friend.

you don't just instantly get viewers, especially not when 9000000 people starting out do giveaways+ spam on every single stream+youtube video.

I wasnt expecting getting alot I would not have posted this if I had just gotten one I was just asking for hints or tips.

I'm trying to pick up skyrim legendary on steam I thinking of doing a run through of that would say complete but no one completes a elder scrolls game or fallout game so...

the new updates to twitch have kinda screwed over smaller channels, the frontpage of each game you click now only shows like 10 of the most populated streams, unless you actually click show all streams, us little people never get seen :/

I actually like smaller streamers so i'll just croll straight down to channels with only a few viewers.

I think they screwed over channel layouts too, the new channel stuff made it so you can't see people's bio's and stuff, but if you have a backround with it all embedded you can see links to twitter facebook etc (most big channels have some1 that does their whole channel backrounds/banners etc)

I'm not trying to get lots of views I figured I have the software and the games and I like the idea of sharing them both with the world I dont care how much or how little I just wanted to know if it was viewable and functioning as it should. I actually got 3 other viewers so that was cool.

LOL I have started streaming gaming a bit on Twitch and hope to have an entertaining channel at some point but I got to figure out how to have access to my chat on my screen while still playing the game cuz at this point I would not be comfortable being on the mic. Maybe I should be looking at getting a 2nd monitor just to view the chat ? However I assume there is an easier way to do this though and help is greatly appreciated. Btw I am using a paid version of Xsplit Broadcaster.

Ya I have 2 monitors on the way. One for the game and one for chat I am also using xsplit.

Get youtube channel going and make some videos from you'r streams. Pick some game with either lots of players or just little fan base. Either one can be boost even if you play some less interesting. Problem with high popularity games like SC2, LoL and Dota2 is that they also got really many popular casters that are on-air all the time. Good thing in those games is also that you can get your stream highlighted to their fan websites (Team Liquid, joinDOTA). With some less popular game like WoT or iRacing.com you can attract players who want to see game before starting to play or want to get tips to improve.

 

I prefer streams with commentary. It can be for viewers or just talking with friends who are playing same game. Use either good english or english with really funny accent (FirstFrag etc. named site has caster with indian accent and he's insanely popular when tournaments are on).

Quick question I picked up witcher on sale and I was going to stream it then I realized it had nudity its animated but fairly graphic from what I have seen. Are there any twitch rules on this?

 I added something nice to my live stream setup (not shown live yet though) for Twitch that related to the game I am playing.  It may get annoying for some after awhile but I honestly don't care at this point.  Just trying different things out and I think the play on words along with the content I added to view on the side while watching the game is kind of funny. The game I have been playing is The Ball and man has it been as much fun as I thought it would be.  I had to get help a little twice which I didn't like doing but whatever.

Offhand I honestly do not know.  I do know that people have streamed Saints Row 3 before and there is some questionable stuff in that game.  I also know there was a zombie basher game that had crazy adult content in it and it was shown too.  I think it was some sort of Dead Rising game ?
