Is it possible to get the fan over 2000rpm? At 100% it's a little bit over 2000 but when I boot my pc it goes over 3000 for a few seconds.  :wacko:

I am not sure if it is possible to have it over 2000RPM when normally using your PC, you would probably have to overvolt it to keep it at that rpm

 

But it spins so fast on start up to get some dust out of it.

At least that is what I heard.. My PC (with an AMD CPU and stock cooler) does it too

if ti says so it might be possible, might be a fix for people immediately putting on their pc's after an overheat

if you overvolt the fan it will run at higher speeds.

Man just buy a better cooler like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO.

From what I know yes, it depends on how your motherboard handles it.

On my Gryphon 100% is around 2200/2300rpm, and on boot it doesn't spin up to max unless I set it in BIOS to do so.

 

The stock fan profile should keep your 4690k fine at stock, if you're overclocking then just get a Hyper 212 Evo
