Need a bios update ?

when i first bought my mobo = asus b85m-g and run it with i5 4690 it posts and runs

 

but recently i searched that running the haswell refresh cpu's needs a bios update and it increases cpu support

so my question is, do i need one ? and how do i update it ?

It says on the supported cpus that you need a bios version 0904 or newer

ShadowCaptain said it right.  If your pc is working properly it is not recommended you do a BIOS update.  This is said often by manufacturers of motherboards.

Which one you have or which one to dl? What you have can be seen in BIOS main screen, usually top or bottom corners. Anything with bigger number is newer and you should take one that has been released last. As for how to update, refer to support site of mobo. There are two main methods, using windows utility or USB. Both work but require some patience and confidence.
