Drawbacks of 3+ monitors

Redliquid

Hi friends, i'm wondering if annyone knows about the drawbacks (Preformance wise) from having multiple monitors on while playing games?
Since it's kind of a hassle to have to turne them on and off individually in the control panel everytime i start Skyrim for example.

Is there a quicker way to turn them on and off?
Thoughts? :)

You can use display fusion or actual multiple monitors and set up hotkeys to disable the monitors you aren't using when you game. I run 6-8 monitors at any given time, so good management software is necessary.

Though if you are only gaming on one screen, with the other two sitting idle or browsing the web, the performance hit will unlikely to be noticeable.

As for turning them off, I use a separate surge protector for my monitors. Just flip the switch on and off.
