Can the R9 285 play games in ULTRA 1080p 60fps

MLG 360 No-Scopes

it depends. Some less intensive titles and slightly older stuff, sure, but GTA V for example is a no-go.

Triple A games like BF4?

No.

BF4 is a somewhat older title, my GTX 770 could do that at 1080p60 and I wasn't even overclocked.

r9 285 might not do as great on ULTRA. High for sure, you should possibly try to find an r9 280x on sale.

If youre willing to sacrifice MSAA then yeah 285 is good for 60 fps 1080p.

turn off AA and u will be fine, because the card just run out of memory when u are on ultra 1080p + AA , for example BF4 1080p + AA = 45~58fps, switch to high >> u will get 65~78fps,  because high has AA off... now turn off AA and switch to ultra, u will get around  53~70fps. its all about the memory but in some games it will run without any problem on ultra 1080p 60fps + AA on.

btw im using r9 285 dual-x oc.

and this video for someone playing MultiP with full servers, the place where u will ever lose fps. also he's recording with a loss of 5~10fps and Mantle off + AAx4 on

now try to calculate it without AA on and mantle+recording off, or AA+recording off + Mantle on .

good luck
