DisplayPort is alwasy better, but at 1080p, it really makes no difference. I still would recommend DP.

I would go with DisplayPort, it can successfully output 1080p at 144hz like your monitor is capable of. AFAIK HDMI 1.2 can only output 1080p at 60hz.

Use DisplayPort. You can run 144Hz on it and get sound no problem. HDMI might have issues running 144Hz. There's really no reason not to use DisplayPort if you have the option. It's superior to HDMI in every way.

Doesn't hdmi only go to 60hz? I'm sure you will want display port with that monitor for 144hz

HDMI can go up to at least 1080p 120Hz. I've done it personally.

didn't know that, still DP would be best for the monitor he has. I use DP to.
