How much Ghz should i have on my RAM To support an APU. or is it just the highest you can go kinda thing

MSI FM2-A55M-E33 is the mobo im gonna throw it in. so 1866 is the max i can use sadly...so  that would be good?

apus gain a lot of graphics performance from higher clocked ram, so get it as high as you can, 2133mhz is a good memory clock for an apu. 2400 mhz is better but harder to achieve

that is the max native support, you could try overclocking your memory. 1866 mhz is decent however. not as good as 2133 but still, the performance difference isn't exactly huge between the two

RAM is typically measured in MHz.

I would try to get like 2133, otherwise 1866 would do too.

Just take a look at some sales, saw yesterday in Germany there was a deal on 2133 MHz RAM, for the same price as 1600MHz RAM.

Dual-channel DDR3-1866 has a memory bandwidth of 29.9 GB/s. A low-end card like the R7 250X has 72 GB/s memory bandwidth. Just to give you a sense of scale here.

 

It does depend on which APU we're talking about, but generally the faster the memory the better. And dual-channel is absolutely vital.

guess ill reply to this one c:  im aiming for 4 ram to throw in this set up so. throw 2 1866ghz 2gb sticks in it then?

2 sticks in dual channel mode are always better than one stick.
