Explorer.exe stalls routinely

On my laptop (asus k55a w/ 3210m -windows 8.1) Windows explorer keeps stalling my top mounted auto hide task bar locking it always on top. 

 

As you can imagine the task bar covers all my tabs on my browsers and things which is annoying.

 

I can get it working again by going into the task manager and quitting windows explorer and starting it again - but it does this again sooner or later

 

I'm a pretty heavy user I guess - I'm a tab fiend , but I don't think that should make any difference.

Open a command prompt as admin and type in 'SFC /SCANNOW'. See if it finds any errors.

Well, this isn't good... *restarting*

The IP conflict was because I tried to renew all connections and wasn't connected to any I believe

Restarted and Windows updates failed... hmmm

Found a few things and it got put in this Log file:...seems to skip the upload for some reason...

 

What Should I be looking for?

Im just going to say that if you want this fixed quickly you should just reinstall windows. If not expect to be bug hunting for days.
