Hello,

I am planning to build my own gaming rig. I want it to be able to play the most up to date games, like Gta v and Farcry 4. At a high FPS whilst running them on the best graphics possible.

I have put together all the parts I need to use and wish to use, but I am not to sure if they are compatible. So it would be much appreciated if someone could check for me if they are compatible and for how cheap I can get them. Also it would be nice if you could assist me if there is a component what would be better for gaming and roughly around the same price as the component I have chosen ( what ever that is) .

Components I wish to use but, am asking if they are compatible.

Specs:

Motherboard: MAXIMUS VII HERO

Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 760T

Processor: Intel i5 4590 Quad Core CPU.

SSD: 2x Samsung SAM 850 Pro 256GB 2.5 inch SATA III Solid State Drive

Graphics Card: MSI GTX 960 GAMING 4GB

RAM: HyperX Savage 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) 2400 MHz DDR3 CL11 DIMM XMP Memory Module

Power Supply: Coolermaster V1000 PSU

Optical Drives: OcUK 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM

Storage:WD - 2TB Desktop SATA Hard Drive - OEM - Green

Thanks, George

Change your cpu to the K variant. You have an overclocking board, but you are buying a locked processor.

Also ram: 2400mhz cl11 is roughly equal to 1866 CL9, so save yourself some money by choosing the latter.

Is there really a need for 2 256gb SSD's?

Power supply is overkill. Try 650-700 W psu's

That cpu supports 1600 mhz max ram...So there's no point in getting 1866
