2) Does all 8 4-pin support this PWM splitter?

http://www.ekwb.com/shop/accessories/cables/ek-cable-splitter-4-fan-pwm-extended.html

1 x CPU Fan connector(s) (1 x 4 -pin)
1 x CPU OPT Fan connector(s) (1 x 4 -pin)
6 x Chassis Fan connector(s) (6 x 4 -pin)

3) Is there any point of getting the front base or dont it add anything over OC Panel?

1) it would seem that the only difference is the bundled USB 3.1 card

2) ummmm... probably.  I think that all of ASUS' 4-pin fan headers are PWM, which implies that it will be compatible.  Just how many fans are you planning to put in your case?

3) it's bling.  Neither the OC panel or Front Base are necessary for your system to function perfectly.  From the looks of it, the Front Base just displays the same information as the OC panel in a slightly prettier fashion.

1) Guess I can go for the cheaper version then and get a usb 3.1 card later on.

2) I'm running water cooling so at least 5 sets of 4 fans. Most power hungry fan is 0.6A atm which is running in series of 4.

3) I know its bling, but its nice to get tempratues and all that by looking at the case, so its easier to monitor.

1) if you know you will use 3.1, then this is probably a good bundle deal.  If you don't think you will, then just get the basic version.

2) that is an awful lot of cooling, you must have a monstrous case.  I think it should work because each of those splitters has extra molex power, which you will need to plug in so that you don't burn out the header on the motherboard.

3) Don't get me wrong, I have the OC panel in my computer, and I like the bling.  I was only trying to point out that practically speaking, there's no reason to get one of the other.

...it feels wrong to reply like this, but it does give an opportunity to address each point individually

1) Right now so are there no products that uses 3.1, so its not worth it atm. But I'm asking, since they might have done something else with the motherboard that dont show on paper (like solving a heating problem).

2) Its 3 radiators, with some extra fans banks mixed in.

3) Okay, then I drop the Front Bay, since OC Panel covers the need.

It just makes it easier to see what people are responding to. As that can be hard to spot sometimes.

New question:

4) My pc is a video editing pc that can do gaming, so would I benefit from choosing X99-E WS instead? Or are they more or less the same?

1) I haven't heard of any issues with the regular board, so I don't think there's anything new on the bundle

3) You can always pick it up later if you decide that you really want it.  Personally I've never used the thing to do any settings, but it came with my board, so I put it in my case.

4) I expect they will be more or less the same for usage.  The WS boards excel when you need are using raid cards or networking cards, their compatibility is pretty legendary.  The R5E will probably have very similar compatibility, though.  My advice would be to look through the features lists for both boards, ask yourself what you will actually use, and go with whichever board ticks the most boxes (or ticks the most important boxes).  Personally I like the ROG bundled programs and use them on a regular basis, but many people don't.
