The last couple days my laptop has randomly been shutting off for no obvious reason and is very un-responsive on re-entering in windows. I would be using my laptop for say like a twitch stream and just after a period of time it instantly stops. The only thing in common with each turn off that I have noticed is the battery is around the same percentage 22-24%. It's not thermals my laptop is only at 70-75c when this happens(normal for me). Anyone know why or how to fix it? If you need any extra info just ask.

Temp is a little warm for the whole laptop, Try seeing if the vents and heat sinks are dirty and clean them up,

I try to keep it clean. I can't get inside though as 2 of the screws refuse to come out even with pliers.

Then it's unlikely CPU temperatures, as the maximum temperature (at the minimum) is 90 degrees C.

What program do you use for monitoring temperatures?

HW monitor. If it was heat the laptop would say something on reboot.

I really have no idea then, The best I could do is just search Google... and you probably already have done that.

Is the laptop actually powering down like you describe, or restarting? Can you power it up right away after this happens or do you have to wait? Does it happen without the battery installed in the unit?

Its still quite hot a for a laptop CPU. The maximum mine hits in my work laptop is 60 degrees and thats when under full load. Just during doing anything its around 40.. There is no reason for it to be 70 degrees. Clean out your laptop.

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X

GPU: Radeon RX 7900 XT

RAM: 32GB 3600MHz

It just completely goes black. I can power it up right away without being plugged in. I don't normally have it without the battery installed and it doesn't happen every time it's random.

I said I couldn't get 2 of the screws out even with pliers

Hmm... well thats no good. Maybe you could take it to a PC repair store and they could do it for you? They might have better tools for removing stubborn screws.

Are you using it on a hard surface? Using it a pillow or bed or even your lap will cover the intake vents.

It's happened on both hard, soft, and the vent over an edge so it has no air restrictions.

I have a friend who works in computer repair, next time he comes over to help my dad with some enterprise stuff I will ask him to see what he can do.

Compressed air if you haven't used that.

Yeah I have air compressed the vents. Once I can get the laptop I have some MX-4 to bring those temps down, I imagine by now the TIM on it has hardened.
