So, I'm currently in the process of building a computer. I own a Rosewilll Blackhawk Blue Gaming Mid Atx Tower, and I just bought a PNY Optima 2.5 inch SSD. My case doesn't have 2.5 inch drive bays, will it work?

Yes. An SSD doesn't have moving parts, like a mechanical hard drive. So you could just shove it in the back with no problems

just try and stick it somewhere, the ssd will work, but you will have no place to put it and hold it down

They should fit in the 3.5" bays with offset mounting holes. Or simply "stash" it somewhere in your case.

It will work, but it will be ugly as hell since they will just be in the air. But it probably ahs in a 3.25 bay

Hey TechDookie,

 

There is no difference between the 2.5" and the 3.5" drives in terms of compatibility. It should work just fine. You would only need to have  a mounting kit for the drive to be mounted in a 3.5" slot. Other than that you are perfectly fine.
