i5 or i7?

Go to solution Solved by SeanAngelo,

Mainly gaming buuut some editing to.

if light video editing or rendering, then an i5 will do you just fine.

unless it's HEAVY video editing and rendering then go for the i7.

What are you going to be doing?

If you can wait, having the horsepower is never a "bad" thing. But just remember, most games will play just as well on the i5 as on the i7.

Well i probaly will be editing somethings when i go to collage

Go i5 now.. if you find when you go to college the difference in what your using is worth an upgrade, I'm sure you won't have a problem selling the i5 and picking up a used i7 for less difference. (Assuming thats not going to be this September)
