Can you SLI two different graphics cars? (i.e. GTX 970 and GTX 780ti)

They have to be the same GPU for NVIDA

For NVIDIA, they have to be the same cards for SLI.

 

For AMD I'm pretty sure you can mix cards together with XFire

no, but you can with AMD, but it depends so do some research on that if you want :)

24 fps for that "cinematic" feel

You can mix cards of the same... what do you call it... architecture tier? In nVidia it'd be "GK104 SLI with GK104" or something... but in AMD it's Hawaii and Pitcairn and Tonga etc. I don't know what to call them. 

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.
