Hey guys, I just bought a HD 6870 off of ebay, to go with my core 2 quad q8400. What I was wondering is considering that my 240gt can handle portal 2 at minimum of 30fps, average 50fps (those results are with a quad core), what kind of performance will I get in games like - Portal 2, Broforce and other indie games, (I also play gta 4 and can get a solid 30fps with a minium of 20fps on my current setup)

Also, is $90 AUD a good price, considering PC hardware is alot more expensive new in Australia, and that $90 AUD equates to 64.75 Euros or 70.42 USD (and we have a 10% tax on goods and services)

OLD-SCHOOL - Intel Pentium 4 SL6WF with HYPERTHREADING! - ACER 651M03-6L Mobo - Saphire R9600 PRO 256mb AGP Card - 2gb DDR - 40gb IDE HDD - 430w PSU

I think the HD 6870 is still a pretty powerful card in todays standards and regarding the price, I have no idea what the Aussie market is like.

Not horrible but with a bit of hunting and research you could have gotten something better for the money. It's equivalent to today's R7 260 (non-X) which is $120 AUD brand new, and where I am, 6870s used go for around $50 CAD.

I managed to find 2 being sold together for £60, which is about 115AUD, but your market for used goods is probably different to here

Specs: CPU: AMD FX 6300 Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A DS3P RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB 1866MHz GPU: MSI R9 270 OC edition Case: Sharkoon VS3-S SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB HDD: 1TB Caviar Blue PSU: Corsair CX500W
