IMO 21:9 monitor is best experience, it's cheaper and less performance hungry.

hard to power, fps games seem to enjoy stretching themselves only useful for a quick warning something is coming at you in what would be off screen but unlike car mirrors objects in side screens are further then they appear.

didnt enjoy it for racing since my dashboard was bent which was odd to say the least.

Thus far ive preferred a single monitor and track IR to be honest, and use the 2 side monitors for skype and whatever else..that being said at times I will still power all 3 for some games.

@tsukasa u wot m8? lol

inb4 21:9 is the most cost-effective way for gaming on a wider screen compared to using 3 monitors. Plus no bezels :3

but if you do a lot of multitasking, editing or programming a triple monitor setup would be better.

If you're thinking of going competitive E-Sports Playing on a single screen rather than surround is better since Competitions only use 1 monitor(if its 120hz+ it's even better)

I prefer running my games in triple monitor, even though I'm only using a single GTX 970. And like others said, they do tend to stretch FPS games, but its still useful because you can see more than one door if you'r camping an objective etc. Just flicking your eyes back and forth between the monitors looking for threats.

It does put out some heat into your room though. And a single 970 is not quite enough, I can run battlefield hardline on high settings with about 57-ish frames per second. GTA 5, I can run at high at about 30 fps, and ESO I can max everything out and sit comfortable at 60. (my monitors max at 60)

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs
