670 still worth buying?

Go to solution Solved by pwn_intended,

Yeah but is it a good performance for the division and if not how much could one sell it for

I have a couple in my system and they are great. Even a single one can run BF4 1080 on max at over 70FPS. I thought about selling mine to upgrade to a 970 or greater but when i looked at my local craigslist and kijiji, there are a ton of them listed for around $125-175 and have been listed for many months. $75 is a bargain, and it will easily outperform anything you can buy new for under $200.

Basically a buddy has the chance to get a used one for 75 bucks and was wondering if its still worth that. He planning on getting the division when it comes out

"You know it'll clock down as soon as it hits 40°C, right?" - "Yeah ... but it doesnt hit 40°C ... ever  😄"

It's pretty much like getting a 760 for 75$, so yeah I'd say it's worth it.

If it is functional (tested to work before buying), then I would say yes. The 670 should be close in performance to a HD7950, and I am having no problems running any game at high (maxed or high) at 1080p with one 7950 (as CFx is shite).

(NOTE: I am judging based on the 670s direct competitor, for what it is worth).

Well, considering that I bought my 660 for $100, I would say absolutely!

A 670 at that price seems decent.  Half the performance of a 970 for much less than half the price.

QUOTE ME IN A REPLY SO I CAN SEE THE NOTIFICATION!

When there is no danger of failure there is no pleasure in success.

When in doubt, re-format.

I still run two 670 in SLI at 1080p still very good cards but if you want to max out the very latest AAA games then I would upgrade which I am doing later this year when AMD and Nvidia release some new models.

For that price you cant go wrong.
