Hi, so I have been using my new computer for about a week now and every time I boot, it says 7344348729.png so at this point I hit F1 and it brings me to the bios where I press F8 and go to the boot menu and select my drive and boot. I was wondering how to get rid of this CPU fan error. Thanks.

What cpu cooler are you using?

I've built 3 PC's, but none for myself... In fact, I'm using an iMac that my dad bought for me as my desktop. Awkward...

Please don't say "SSD drive." By doing so, you are literally saying "Solid State Drive Drive" and causing my brain cells to commit suicide. The same applies to HDD (Hard Disk Drive) and PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express).

All you have to do is plug any fan/pump into the header, but I would recommend you plug your pump into it.

Hmmm on my Z97M OC Formula I haven't plug any fan at all and I don't get an error. Looks like Asus X99 Deluxe has an extra protection "feature". If you wan't to suppress the error connect the speed sense pin to +12V.

How does one do that?

I reread the specs of the 4 pin PWM controlled header. It's not possible to bridge it, since it's measured digital, sorry. There are solutions like using an NE555, but it's way to much work to fix this smal issue.

But can't you turn off the fan within the BIOS?

Dumb question, wouldn't that cause the fans to not spin? Thanks

Yes, I have my fan hub Running off of the cpu header. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Oops my fault I guess...

Ok you get the error because your fans don't spinn up fast enough of the sense signal get's delayed by the fan header (unlikely).

- If you have a series restistor / low noise adapter remove it.

- If you can set the start up voltage or duration set it to max.

- Doeas the fan header have one specialized port of which the speed it read? If yes, plug the smalest fan in there.

I do have low noise adapters on my fans but I'm fine with removing them since I thought they were fan extention cables, lol. And I will also plug my smallest fan into the special header on the fan hub once I get home. Will tell you how it went once I'm done. Also I love your fanless pc.

Thx, an other fanless build is under construction rigth now.

Only the fan which the speed is read must not have an low noise adapter the other once are fine.

It apears I have ran into another issue, so while my friend and I were trouble shooting we turned CPU fan speed to ignore, then none of the fans turned on so I rebooted and we changed it back to monitor rather than ignore but none of the fans turn on again!!!! Would you happen to know how to help on that front, and im still getting the error.

Can't you set a fan curve anymore?

Resetting BIOS will work, but that's a bad idea because you loose all your setting.

I havent over clocked yet and I think All I would have to restore would be which drive it boots to. do you think it would be worth it?
