Hey guys, does anyone own or has owned a pair of sennheiser HD 449s? how do they sound while gaming/ listening to music? i have heard pretty off things about the bass but that isn't really an issue to me because i dont listen to bass heavy music, it would only affect gaming sounds in games like battlefield. how good a combo would these and a modmic 4 be?price of about $85 AUD for the headset.

Open headphones are often recommended by the community here, and I'll recommend them as well. Do you really need the sound isolation? If yes, you can't go wrong with the HD449 if you don't mind the bass.

I'd go for a HyperX Cloud over these things.

That's a good point, if you can get one for roughly the same price (I don't know what they are in AUD) The clouds are really quite good, even as far as plain headphones go, plus you get a pretty decent mic. The whole modmic thing should (in my opinion) be saved for when you will be spending at least ~$200 on your headphones alone. I actually use a dedicated mic, but that's because I've been using decently nice headphones since before I was gaming, and I don't really want to put that sticky bit on the sides...

Hey! New SIgnature!

I'm supposedly a person on the Internet, but you'll never know if I'm human or not ;)
