ShadowPlay suggestions

Go to solution Solved by ShadowCaptain,

Hello Forum,

I wanted to know at what bit rate should I record my gameplay using ShadowPlay and should I record at 30 or 60 FPS. I want to upload to YouTube (duh) and the resolution is gonna be 1080p.

Thanks! :)

Its entirely up to you, I think its best to record games at 60fps for it to look fluid, try and record at the highest bitrate possible, it just depend show much space you want to dedicate to your recordings, the higher the bitrate the better it will look once youtube compresses the hell out of it

I believe you have to have some status on youtube for 60fps. So just record at 30.

huh? no anybody can upload at 60fps or 4k or whatever you want, there are no restrictions

Well, this wasn't always reserved for everybody. Not at the start atleast. Guess that policy changed.

You can change your fps when you render your videos....

its always been available, as far as i know they only limit it for like a week to test out before rolling it out for everyone, Ive been doing 60fps videos since it was first announced

Downscale, yes, upscale no - you can take a 60fps video to 30, but not a 30fps video to 60 (it will still be 30, or will have terrible interpolation)
