Chrome badness

So I wasn't sure where else to put this but I just got my very happy, very awesome gaming computer all together and turned on (party to celebrate computer Friday....it has been a LOOOOONG road) so I am doing my due diligence of update and all that....and I get the security message from steam to get the code from my email.  I open Chrome, my gmail box loads about half way and black screen whole screen not just Chrome, that requires me to restart to come back from.  My heart sinks....I thought the long road to computer just got longer.  I reboot try again, start up Chrome same result.  After my third attempt with same result, I restart open IE and head to gmail.....ta-da...inbox.

 

So....my question is what the crap!?  Followed of course by how do I fix this IE gives me hives.

Try reinstall chrome

Try to disable Hardware acceleration in chrome.

your issue sounds more like a hardware prob or a driver problem then a problem with chrome

chrome uses the pc's resources differently then IE does

i had the same problem whit chrome sometimes reinstalling fixed it and clearing cookies. Stopped using chrome cause didnt like it anymore and i was starting to get tinfoil hat about chrome and just switched the browser B-B-B-BUT MUH PRIVACY

Ok, I thought it was chrome, chrome showed the first symptoms....but Steam just got me trying to play a video so now now I am thinking it is more a flash acting stupid then chrome trying to kill me.
