Crazy CPU Clock-Speed! HELP!

Go to solution Solved by blu4,

It just stared yesterday, my FX-6300 always remains above it's stock clock-speed [3.5 Ghz]. I'm also using CM Hyper 212X.

The FX-6300 has a 4.1GHz boost clock. Don't worry- this is normal.

If there are no problems, why not just keep it that way?

Don't trust task manager...use something like CPU-Z if you want to be more accurate.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

It's nothing to be worried about, it also may be task manager being stupid because it always misreads my 4.6GHz overclock as 6GHz so..
