So I was playing GTA when my PC just switched itself off, so I power it back up and gives me a message saying, "Power supply surges detected during the previous power on. Asus Anti-Surge was triggered to protect system from unstable power supply Unit"

I then rebooted again and it all seems ok but I'm not sure.

What shall I do?

My specs if needed are

Processor: Intel Core i5 3570k

CPU cooler : Arctic Cooling Freezing 7 Pro Rev 2

GPU : MSI GTX 970

Mobo : Asus p8z77-v LX

PSU : Xigmatek X-Calibre XCP 500w

Thanks in advance to your help

So your saying I'm ok? No it's not I should really get one.

Does the power cuts happen frequently? if so, get a surge protector.

I think your PSU might be dying. You should buy a new PSU. Good Brands include: Corsair, Cooler Master, EVGA and Sea Sonic.

If you carry on using your current PSU it may fail and damage some of your components.

PC:

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X | AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE | 32 GB RAM | Arch Linux

Laptop:

MacBook Pro 13" (2019) | Intel Core i5 8279U | 8 GB RAM | macOS

Server:

Intel Core i7 6700K | 16 GB RAM | 2 TB HDD | Debian Linux
