DDR2 Help!

I have a Q6600 machine with 6gb of ddr2 666mhz ram and was that i am going to use this for gaming. Do i need 8gb of ram? Also what is this AMD cpu ram? you don't need 8gb...its sorta the sweet spot

your cpu and probably gpu are pretty limiting tho..so your not gonna be playing gams at the highest settings..so 6gb is probably enough

I just got a gtx 660 so i am not sure that will limit. I am limiting it if anything. I am planning on getting a new mobo and cpu and ram in June so that will help alot and will be the most needed upgardes. Right now I just wanted a gaming machine besides my work pc. Sli 660 for star citizens?
