jk, I'd go for it for that price.

Why not? Sounds good maybe a Q6600 may be good as well. DDR2 should be fine. Dont forget about the os. I just bought parts today and suddenly i needed an os and was like noooo no over budget.

The i7 950 doesn't have integrated graphics, you are going to need a GPU.

He is getting an r9 270x. I might go for an older card possibly.
