so.... my computer has been plagued with computer issues for some time ever since I upgraded some parts.

current specs:

i7 2600k

z77 msi mpower

16gb 4x4 Mushkin black

two gtx 560ti matching memory

1000W Mushkin joule (I got this on a sale I know it hurts my power bill and it's completely overkill)

1TB Seagate barracuda drive

120gb corsair neutron gtx ssd(os)

so where did it all start... I first believe it was ram issues because I was constantly crashing in the games I played so I sent an rma to Mushkin for a really fast rma support, got the new kit and problems sort of went away. had some driver bsods. then last night I had issues where my computer was freezing for a couple seconds and then un freezing, this continued until I restarted the computer. doing a Seagate tools hdd test on both drives, my ssd failed the long generic test and therefore I was scared that my ssd is dying... and its only been a little over six months since purchase. doing some digging, they said that this wasn't a conclusive test, so I went to corsairs website for the drivers for the ssd, updated the firmware and got hit with a bsod that was about a crucial hardware failure. so.... my mother board doesn't even recognize the driver now.... rma corsair? I've ran sfc scannow, and chkdsk /f /r and doesn't really seem to stop the string of issues. now I can't even get the mb to recognize the drive. another thing. whoever also owns a corsair 650D out there, you can relate how big of a pain it is to build in that case even though it looks amazing. As a result I ghetto mounted my ssds on the back side of the cd drive bays with tape and it pretty much ripped off parts of the sticker. I don't know if this voids my warranty.... sigh... I just my workstation back for some path of exile and battlefield 3...hopefully someone out here can pinpoint the problem.

I'm thinking you never updated your bios.

Yeah that can screw you if you damage the stickers on anything. As long as the screws are all there and you haven't removed any numbers that looks like S/N or P/N. If you crashed or bsod'd while flashing your ssd then I'm pretty sure it's game over unless you have a secondary pc to plug the ssd into and try to restore it. I'm sure Corsair will be able to assist you in some way. I've talked to them, very helpful.

I kind of think you have bsod and crashing confused. A blue screen of death is a physical blue screen. There is always a "0x000..." code in there that can help you. You can find a guide online on how to find those bsod codes within your C: drive. Then you can Google or ask here for a meaning behind the bsod code. I have a whole list for three platforms if you remember any of them.....

Crashing is like, Windows Explorer not responding or Display error or Google Chrome's "I think he's dead, Jim"

Oh and you're not using extra power because you have a 1kW psu, it's because you're not anywhere near the 75-85% load required for rated efficiency.

Yea it sounds like your drive is gone :(  Submit an RMA request to Corsair.  Also give them a call and explain the situation with the tape and stickers; they'll understand and make note of it for you so there won't be any confusion when it arrives there!

Also make sure your bios is fully updated like Wats said. Good luck!
