Hello!

 

Just wanted to know will this loop work togather?
 

GPU Waterblock - EK-FC R9-290X LIGHTNING - ACETAL+NICKEL

Reservior - ALPHACOOL CAPE CORP COOLPLEX PRO 10 LT

Pump - SWIFTECH MCP655 SERIES 12 VDC D5 WATER PUMPS - WITH SPEED CONTROL

Tubing - SWIFTECH TRUFLEX TUBING 3/8" OD X 5/8" ID - 6.5 FT - BLACK (2 of these)

Fittings - EK-CSQ FITTING 12/16MM G1/4 - BLACK (8 of these)

Radiator - BLACK ICE NEMESIS L-SERIES 480 STEALTH RADIATOR

 

Total Cost = $363

 

So my question, is there a way I can reduce the cost of this loop? THanks!

To be honest- you can look for used WC parts but on your own risk. If a rad was running a red dye/coolant and you will use distilled water, it will dye your water red. Custom water-cooling is exotic and costs, that's just the fact mate. You can use simple barbs and zip-ties on the blocks if you need to save money desperately.

I think you don't need a 480 rad for a single R9 290X. You can find a 360 radiator, that will bring the cost down about 30-45 dollars. Alternatively you can find the MCP655 second hand- they are utterly indestructible and reliable.
