Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if you guys could tell me if there is any real difference between the Corsair Carbide 300R and the Corsair Carbide 400R? In the links provided the 300R has a window (big plus to me) and it was the case I am thinking of getting and have been thinking of getting for a while, but as its brother the 400R is $7 more i was wondering if its a better case or is noticeably better. Also is there any case within that price range that is better and I can't do ITX or MATX right now.

The 300r is just a bit smaller as far as I know.

Which I'm not super worried about as the 300R can take a 6990...anything else?

The 400R has some nice extra touches such as rubber grommets for cable management and a somewhat nicer overall build quality. Then there's the obvious differences in design. I'm sure you can't go wrong with either. I'm thinking of throwing some old parts into a 300R for a secondary computer. I actually prefer the look of the 300R over the 400R.

Yer thats what drew me to the 300R was that it looks awesome and was so flexible with what you could put in it!

  • 3 months later...

I have the windowed 300R and it looks awesome, even if people say the fan grills on the window ruins it. You can always order a rubber grommet kit for the 350D to help clean up the build. (I've tried to do that but Corsair doesn't ship to my country. I have to get someone to send it to me.)

The 400R has better cooling and can fit dual 120mm rads on top without modifications.

But both cases are built for airflow. I would not worry about that. Just go for whichever looks best for you.
