Stream 720p mkv from QNAP TS-112p to iPad mini 1st gen

Is there a way to stream 720p mkv videos from QNAP TS-112p to iPad mini 1st gen? I tried to use QNAPs Qfile HD app, but video plays like in slow motion. What would be the best alternative, if straming 720p mkv is not possible, 480p sd video?

 

 

P.S. I hope this is correct forum section for this question. :)

So you are saying there is no way stream 720p to iPad? Maybe there is some iPad app that can transcode on the fly?
