I recently had to RMA my XFX R9 290 and I have to say the service was excellent. XFX is not the largest or most well known company but I was helped hours after each of my RMA ticket comments were put in by a great employee named Micheal. The process was very quick and about a week and a half after I sent in my card they had a new one at my door, but this time it was a 290X! I just wanted to post this on here to tell everyone about the service I got and that XFX really is helping their customers.

wait wouldn't be getting back the wrong type of card be a bad thing.... Now if that one goes bad you'll have a hard time getting that one RMAed. I know its a upgrade, but thats not how a business should work unless they meant to give it to you.

I had a very good experience with XFX RMA as well. Sent in a 6850 and received a 7850.

No, same warranty.

For example: my gtx690 not long ago, I went to my retailer and after 20 min I got a 980 instead because 690's stopped selling.

But my warrenty is still the same as it was when I got my 690.

It's possible xfx had no 290's so they gave him the closest in terms of performance.

no they would give him a 370/380 then, if they don't have the same model they give the closest in terms of performance.

It seems like the Radeon companies are really damn generous, more so than Nvidia card companies, for whatever reason.

I won that 290X giveaway from AMD on Twitter a while back and I was expecting one of those jet engine sounding 290Xs with the reference cooler (since the giveaway was hosted by AMD themselves), but I got an MSI Lightning 290X instead.

I commend AMD and all companies affiliated with AMD only because they're always so great to the consumer. At least in my experience.

Kind of makes me a bit upset with myself that I plan on getting a Titan X because every AMD employee I've ever talked to was extremely kind and helpful. Maybe I'll wait till the 390X is released this summer to see how that compares to the Titan X...just for the sake of buying from the company that I believe has the consumers' interest a little more at heart.
