1. Many*

2. go for a 600W PSU to allow for upgrades. besides, when under load the computer will use more than the estimated wattage.

do you already have the parts? if not i would highly recomend you switch to the I5 4690K as it will greatly increase your performance.

Maybe a 600b from evga  :) or a cx600/cx600m

^ What he said, but personally I'd get a modular one because my cable management is uh.... Non existent.

A good 550W will be perfect. But what happened to the build before with the i3?

Why... cause EVGA and Corsair fanboyism?

This is better then the 600B/CX600 and is cheaper. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550sxxb9

I have the 600b and I was able to cable manage it pretty decent.  Then again, I have an s340 which as outstanding cable management.

It has nothing to do with being cheap. The XFX ProSeries are based on the Seasonic S12II platform, much higher quality then the HEC and CWT platforms that the EVGA 600B and Corsair CX600 are based on, respectively. Even if it was the same price or even slightly more expensive, the XFX is still a better choice.

Still, just a personal preference for me. I like spending more money on something I KNOW is a good brand and has a warranty that I like because I tend to break stuff.

I have the NZXT H440 which has decent cable management and I have a semi modular PSU and hmm.. It's uh.. Awful to say the least. From the window you can see all of the hard drive cables and everything. The back panel barely goes on, I have to push on it with my body while sliding it on to get it to go on and then keep the pressure while I put on the screws lmao the panel is even bent now.

I'm pretty sure that you'd know Seasonic is one of the best PSU brands out there

Still, not sure about warranty. I need unlimited no restriction warranty. If they have that I'll look into them more for my next build.

Just wondering. How come a Semi-Modular 600w PSU be cheaper than a 550w non-modular PSU?

Corsair 600w CX power supply is pretty good, and also cheap. Before you buy though, seriously consider buying an intel i3 over the FX. I have an FX-6300 OC and in a game that uses all cores, the i3 does the same without being overclocked. And you have an upgrade path to an i5 or i7. Core amount makes almost no difference. The i3 does well whether the game is well optimized or not and costs the same. Don't worry about "New games don't work on dual cores" because for all intensive purposes you can consider the i3 a quad core, because of hyperthreading. It will be compatable with new games for a long time

Also: You probably don't need any extra case fans besides ones that come with the case in this computer whatsoever

EDIT: nevermind it looks like you already bought it

The 4150 is recommended most commonly. But this one just has a 100mhz faster operating speed, which is nice since they are not overclockable

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/hyCjbv

Might actually want an h97 mobo since this would need a BIOS update. maybe don't listen to me about motherboard because I know nothing about intel motherboards. Sorry

That's one sexy ass motherboard. And it should work fine since it's z97. Maybe choose the 4160 for the 100mhz faster speed (only like $5 more) and I'd go with the Corsair CX 600 power supply. If you're going for silence on this computer, you definitely might want a SSD

Changed ram because it's faster, lower CAS, and about the same price. 4160 is a tiny tiny bit faster but worth the $4 (lol) and I chose the CX600 because I know it's good
