I have finals tommorow. Its during the first half of class So I asked if I can leave during break time and skip 2nd half. Cause were gonna be eating or something. Then she told me this quote "it is easier to beg for forgiveness then to ask for permission" so is she telling me to just leave? Or not.

That seems like very stupid advice. I'm interpreting it as, "act first, think later." Although she is hinting to the fact that she will turn a blind eye to what you do.

Cause I was very confused. I do have the top grade in this class so maybe she did mean that.

She didn't really say yes or no. It's basically up to you. Just be prepared for any consequences.

My school lets us skip classes we exempted the finals for, and we have two finals per day. So if lets say I exempted the second final that day then I can go to school, take the first one, and just leave after the bell.

That being said, it's really up to you but I'm sure you will be just fine. Doubt there would be any consequences.

I interpret it like 'you want to leave 2nd half, well tough luck' not sure if that is right but that is what I'm seeing in your text.

Best start begging for forgiveness because that has a higher liklihood of coming into fruition than you skipping 2nd half.

It means if you ask you'll get an answer of no, but if you do it (whatever it is) the worst you'll get is them saying you shouldn't have.

It's a very common saying. http://www.bothsidesofthetable.com/2010/06/15/its-better-to-beg-for-forgiveness-than-to-ask-for-permission/

At work I use that as my main rule. I do what I want most of the time, then show what I do. My job technically isn't to write programs, but when I see something that people do that is tedious and time consuming that I can write a program to simplify it, I take that as an opportunity. But do I ask? NO. I do it, show what it can do, and usually it gets a response that it is great. :)
